Experimental Interactive Distribution Mapper and Report
Generator
This facility allows users to interact with the database of dragonfly
records for Warwickshire and generate their own distribution maps and
text reports from that database. The user interface to the database is
what I hope is an easy to use entry form. Naturally, there is some
learning and familiarity to be acquired in using the tool. To help the
user an information page has been written which can be, and I suggest
should be, invoked from the entry form by pressing the "User info."
button.
In the interests of simplicity the queries the user can make on
the dragonfly database are restricted. However, in principle the entry
form can be tailored to make any possible query on the database. If you
have any suggestions regarding changes to the entry form and modification to
or introduction of new
queries please let me know. I will see if the requirements can be
satisfied. Also, suggested improvements and clarification to the
user information are welcome.
